The existing lobbies in a pair of residential high-rise buildings overlooking New York's lower harbor were renovated to create a welcoming, secure entrance. The new design is more in keeping with the buildings' residents' sense of community. Traditional finishes and detailing were used within a modern esthetic to create a more upscale ambience. Recessed lighting, light coves and wall sconces provide lighting levels that feel intimate but still maintain a sense of security.
