The facility was expanded by recapturing unused sidewalk vault spaces and renovating the entire cellar and sub-cellar. The sidewalk and supporting vault structure was replaced. The new "Undercroft" includes classrooms, exercise room and lecture room. The entry foyer and corridors were designed as a gallery for student art and shows of outside work. Track lighting set above open grids, large display wall panels and clear floor space provide flexibility for events of varying media and scope. The sub-cellar was renovated for maintenance, office and storage spaces.

(Saint Ann's School, an independent educational institution, is housed in a 12 story building in Brooklyn Heights. The school's program includes grades K-12 and the building is fully utilized. Program spaces are regularly improved and reconfigured as necessary and as time permits.)
